Our French reseller CADDEN, recently demonstrated a compact and fully integrated underwater inspection solution combining the Voyis Discovery Stereo Inspection Series with the CHASING M2 PRO MAX ROV.
The system was deployed across multiple sites in France, including dock structures, submerged statues, and inland ponds. These environments present typical subsea inspection challenges such as confined access, limited visibility, and structurally complex assets. By integrating high-resolution underwater photogrammetry with a maneuverable ROV platform, the team captured detailed 3D datasets to support condition assessment and infrastructure monitoring.
Integrated ROV and Stereo Photogrammetry Workflow
The Discovery Stereo Inspection Series is designed for accurate underwater 3D reconstruction. Using calibrated stereo imaging and synchronized illumination, the system captures high-resolution image datasets suitable for photogrammetric processing. The result is measurable 3D models that allow operators to assess structural defects, detect corrosion, and document asset condition over time.
Integrated onto the CHASING M2 PRO MAX, a compact ROV platform known for its stability and agility, the solution enables precise data collection in confined or hard-to-access areas. This combination supports safe, efficient inspections without requiring diver intervention.
CADDEN’s technical team completed the mechanical and operational integration, delivering a streamlined, all-in-one inspection workflow for French operators. The deployment highlights the importance of local technical expertise when implementing advanced subsea imaging systems.
Key Applications
- Port and dock infrastructure inspections
High-resolution 3D models enable early detection of cracks, corrosion, and structural degradation, supporting preventative maintenance planning and reducing operational risk. - Submerged cultural heritage and statues
Detailed 3D documentation provides a non-invasive method for monitoring conservation status while preserving site integrity. - Ponds and vessel hull inspections
The compact ROV platform allows uninterrupted inspection in shallow or restricted environments where larger systems may not be practical.
Expanding Access to Advanced Underwater Inspection Technology
This collaboration between Voyis and CADDEN demonstrates how stereo photogrammetry and compact ROV systems can be combined to deliver measurable, repeatable, and high-quality subsea inspection data.
By strengthening regional partnerships and enabling local integration capabilities, Voyis continues to expand global access to advanced underwater 3D inspection solutions tailored to real-world operational environments.
